Silvi Saxena is a trauma therapist and medical social worker dedicated to supporting people living with chronic and terminal illness, with a focus on hospice and community palliative care. Her work centers on helping individuals and families navigate complex emotional and healthcare experiences with dignity, compassion, and trauma-informed care. Silvi is passionate about improving access to care and helping people feel seen and understood during some of life’s most difficult moments. Writing is both an outlet and a way for her to process the emotional weight of this work. Through poetry, essays, and reflection, she explores themes of grief, resilience, connection, and the human experience. Silvi finds joy in music, traveling and spending quality time with loved ones. She has been published in Poetry Quarterly, Red River Review, The Houston Literary Review and Evanescent: A Journal of Literary Medicine.
